Teaching assistants support children with their learning activities in the classroom. They work closely with teachers to make sure pupils enjoy learning in a safe and caring setting.
If you like working with children and want to play a part in their education and wellbeing, a career as a teaching assistant could be ideal for you. You’ll need to have the ability to work closely with parents and teachers. You’ll also need good literacy and numeracy skills, as well as creative ideas for activities when teaching children on a daily basis.
To work as a teaching assistant or classroom assistant, you will usually need some experience or a qualification that’s recognised such as a (RQF) Qualifications Credit Framework.

Upon completion of this qualification, students are awarded a TQUK Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF) Private Certificate. All certification fees are included in your course fees.

Qualification
This is a knowledge only qualification. Experience in the real work environment is not required and the entire course is completed through distance learning. Please note that this is a knowledge only Level 3 qualification and does not require any practical assessments.
Assessments
To pass this course learners must pass 5 assignments. These are completed after navigating through the corresponding lessons and writing your answers to assignment questions. Once these have been read and marked by your personal tutor, feedback and marks are provided to students which contain helpful tips to improve work in future assignments.
Support
The most important tool that all of our students have at their disposal is their tutor. When studying for a course with us you are assigned a personal tutor with in-depth knowledge and experience in your chosen subject.
You are strongly advised to make use of your tutors expertise and ask questions about the course content. Your assignments are marked by your personal tutor and detailed feedback is given. Enrolment Length
